Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Comaneci was spotted by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was six years old. Her first competitive event was The National Junior Championships which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci took home the title. Three gold medals were awarded in her first competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for communist countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. Her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champ winning four golds and a silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do the backward double salto in a dismount from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment industry as a performer as a figure skater. With her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a traveling show called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows that included theatrical performances.
